American Idiom Expressions

1.      ' This chicken is out of this world' berarti hidangan ayam yang lezat. 
2.       Can I have a look? = Dapatkah saya melihatnya?
3.       Have the tickets ready, please? = Sudah ada tiketnya? 
4.      ' Our team is on a winning streak' = Tim kami selulu memenangkan setiap pertandingan. 
5.       Excuse me, I ran across this expression but I’m not sure what it means. Can you please help me out? =
       Maaf, saya sedang mempelajari ekspresi ini tetapi saya tidak yakin apa artinya. Dapatkah kau membantuku?
6.       Develop an ear= belajar untuk mendengarkkan sesuatu. 
7.       You’ve got a heart of gold = sangat baik untuk membantu sesuatu hal. 
8.       Bob, I hate to break the news (memberitau suatu berita) , but our sales were down again last month. 
9.       Costs an arm and a leg = to be very expensive
10.   Dead end job= pekerjaan sia-sia. 
11.   We’ve run out of coffee (kehabiszn kopi) but at least we still have tea.
12.   Peter was so angry, he was about to throw a dining room chair at him.
13.   I’m glad you’re finally home. I was just about to have dinner without you (saya hampir mau makan malam tanpamu). 
14.   Give one the creeps= menciptakan perasaan jijik/horor. 
E.g. There was a strange man following me around the grocery store. He was giving me the creeps.
15.   About to go belly-up = bangkrut. 
E.g. My company lost $3 million last year. We might go belly-up.
16.   Real flop= gagal. E.g. The company was in trouble after its new product flopped.  
17.   Go back to the drawing board= memulai dari awal. 
E.g. The president didn’t agree with our new ideas for the company, so we had to go back to the drawing board.
